What do the Monsters Look Like?

Monsters - P

Paladin Spirit A shimmering image of a tall man wearing full plate armor stands before you. He rests his hands on the pommel of his great sword, and though you cannot see his face through his visored helm, he seems to exude an aura of quiet sorrow.
The paladin spirit greets you with a bow, saying "Welcome young one. Thy travels have brought thee far, to find me in this cursed tomb where I am bound. The dark one was cruel indeed to keep my spirit in this plane after we were vanquished, but even in defeat there can be hope. I have little left to offer, save my experiences fighting the unnamed one. My skill is thine to learn from, and I would gladly train thee to the next level of advancement. One more thing I can offer you: seek the old one in the heart of the darkenwood, he alone lived through the Great Wars, and he alone has mastery enough to provide thee with the necessary learning you shall surely need in the future."
Pale Mushroom This bulbous, slow-moving mushroom is a sickly pale white in color. It is covered in small spore tubes, and it moves about on four thick tendril-like feet. Angling towards any noise or light, it is best left alone.
The pale mushroom moves towards you slowly.
Parasite This small worm-like creature sits idly as you approach. A thick gelatinous covering shines as light hits it, and looks to provide fairly decent protection. There are no evident sensory organs whatsoever, and no remarkable features other than a barb-lined mouth.
Pharoh Rastep This tall, intense man is garbed in the gilded clothes of a desert king. Upon his fierce brow sits a golden headdress, fashioned in the likeness of a serpent, which hangs down over his shoulders. In one hand he grips a divine symbol, and in the other, a dark rod.

With a gaze like lightning and a voice like thunder, the pharaoh intones:

"Quake before my unearthly might, mortal fool! The only reward you have gained by interrupting my works will be death-- a foul and ignoble death that a peon such as you deserves. Prepare to meet with your impotent ancestors!"

Pixie This small, mischievious creature is one of the elusive faeries. It wears curious, brightly colored clothing and flutters around on its dragonfly-like wings. Pixies are generally harmless but many command powerful magics, and dislike being disturbed.
The pixie smiles mischieviously at you and laughs.
Plagued Prisoner This dishevelled, frightened person cowers in the corner. Garbed in filthy, tattered clothing, it makes no attempt to make contact and does not respond to talking. Pustulent boils and raw festering wounds on the prisoner's skin constantly drip a vile, stinking fluid.
The prisoner does not even react at your words.
Planar Storm This swirling cloud is a mix of dark grey, violet, and blue. It rolls through the air with a crackling noise, arcs of brilliant energy continually spearing out in all directions. Moving with a malevolent grace, it almost seems alive as it seeks out the nearest life-form.
The planar storm moves towards you slowly.
Practice Dummy This large stuffed dumjy somehow has survived all the ravages the rest of the city has endured. Considering its pristine state, magical means are likely.
Priest - Monastery This kindly-looking priest wears soft white robes and sandals, and smiles warmly at you as he goes about his business.
The priest says, "I'm sorry, but I'm in a bit of a hurry! The Chancellor can answer any questions you may have. You can find her office on the second floor of the keep."
Priest - Temple This thin, handsome young man has dark curly hair down to his shoulders, and clear blue eyes. He wears white robes and soft shoes, and stares at you with a serious gaze.
Priest Spirit Before you stands the image of a tall, white-robed man, his hair greying with age. His bright green eyes seem to pierce through the insubstantial haze surrounding him, and his commanding personality gives him an almost regal demeanor.
The priest spirit greets you with a bow, saying "Welcome young one.
Priestess This friendly priestess wears soft white robes and has long flowing hair, tied with a thong. She nods briefly to you and then hurries on.
The priest says, "I'm sorry, but I'm in a bit of a hurry! The Chancellor can answer any questions you may have. You can find her office on the second floor of the keep."
Prismatic Dragon This glittering dragon has scales of a thousand hues, all of which reflect the light in prismatic sprays. Shining chrome teeth and claws arm this deadly beast, and the light of hatred in its eyes makes you pause in fear.
The young dragon looks at you intelligently, and hisses in pleasure!
Prisoner #1 This pale, emaciated man appears to be on the brink of death. He is severely malnourished and has many festering wounds. Despite all this he still has a glint in his eye, and raises his head as you approach.
The prisoner coughs violently, and says, "Welcome to my humble home, adventurers. I am sorry I cnnot make you comfortable, but my maid has been lax in her duties." He begins to laugh pathetically, and breaks into another coughing fit, spitting up blood. After a moment, he continues with a fervent tremor in his voice: "HELP me. Destroy these filthy butchers. I am beyond aid, my body is wrecked and dying... but still I may be of some help. You get the KEYS, and slay the Champion. His evil presence is a scourge upon this world!"
Prisoner #2 - Mod 3 This dishevelled, frightened person cowers in the corner. Garbed in filthy, tattered clothing, it makes no attempt to make contact and does not respond to talking.
The prisoner does not even react at your words.
Purple Slime This is a small violet blob of protoplasm, which moves about with a sickening slurping sound. Waving about in the air are thin tendrils, which radiate a cold which saps the head from the area.
The purple slime gurgles and bubbles.
Purple Worm This violet monstrosity burrows through the earth in search of prey. It is thirty feet long, and has a mouth bristling with pointed teeth. Attacking any source of vibration, the purple worm is a danger to be feared and shunned.
The purple worm hisses at the sound of your voice!
Pyrimera This monster is an abomination of monster parts. Its front half is that of a lion, the hind half is that of a red dragon, with two large flexing wings. Three heads jut from its front, the head of a red maned lion, the head of a red dragon, and the head of a pyrotrice.
The pyrimera growls at you menacingly, a wisp of smoke trailing from its mouth
Pyro Jelly This huge, quivering blob glows brighly with the heat of a furnace. It moves quickly about in a peculiar rolling motion, and pseudopods of flaming matter reach out searchingly!
The pyro jelly bubbles and spits!
Pyrogoyle This nightmarish creature appears to be made out of some type of fiery black rock. Its venomous jagged claws, horned, demon-like and great batlike wings all emanate a dark flame. You smell a sulphur as it spreads its wings, and iwth a squeal of delight it springs forth!
The pyrogoyle hisses at you evilly, and swoops towards you!
Pyrotrice This monstrosity looks like a rooster with all red feathers, except for its yellow striped lizard tail and stubby batwings. It seems to eminate a heat of its own and you feel warmer as it glares at you.
