Seeing as this was my first review of a MajorMUD board, I wasn't sure what to expect or look for so I rather winged it. Let me tell you though, if had to review any mud first this has to be the best place to start. Immediately upon logging into Coffee Break BBS I was paged a friendly hello by the Sysop and upgraded to 7 days of unlimited access to check out the board and MajorMUD.
When I entered the game things only got better. It was like entering a cafe, lots of people at the keys and willing to be helpful and chat it up. There were so many conversations I had a little trouble keeping up, but all were friendly. All ages converse on this board, and the chatter seemed to be all ages friendly.
I asked several questions and got prompt friendly answers. There are 2 mud ops in the game, and the sysop plays too, but from what I can tell there is no limited hoarding that goes on. I was offered help with getting experience, and completing quests no longer then 10 minutes after I arrived. I really enjoyed my time there.
People seem to be more at keys during the evening and night hours as on most mud boards, but at all hours I found at least someone available to chat with if I needed help or had a question. I noticed no lag of any type upon my many subsequent visits.
The pricing structure for this board is $10/m per account, and while this may seem a bit steep, I assure you from what I saw it is more then worth it for the warm friendly atmosphere this mud offers its users. I highly suggest checking out Coffee Break BBS in the near future! :)
