The Rumour Mill

Metro continues to "improve" on their product, and with each release, more and more changes are made to the game. No longer do they wait for a new Module to implement changes that radically effect the game - now it is done as they release patches. Just read over the last two sets of release notes, and you will understand what I mean.

Check out the tidbits being dropped over on the MudCentral forum by several of the Forum Ops:

>Hi. I read in the other post about the 1.11f being almost complete and that warlocks will get chainmail. Do >you know if they're making any changes to rangers/mystics and if they're going to have a race change? > (hopefully).. If yes then if you don't mind can you give out a little info on the changes? Thanx >-Spawn

Mystics will probably get another downgrade to forms and such, Rangers won't see a change in 1.11f, but we do have plans to help rebalance this class. Mostly, we are waiting to see what happens to Rangers when the accuracy cap is removed, which isn't too far off. Rangers were intended to have enhanced accuracy and enhanced backstab accuracy.

>>>Hi all, >>>This post refers to Shanon's post farther down abt 1.11f. I am curious abt whether there will be changes to >>>racial stats and such so that i can train some more. If they are going to continue to downgrade mystics it >>>would be helpful if i could train to 60 like i have the exp for. Also, how much of a downgrade are we >>> talking. There already is a big difference between the original viper form and the 1.11e viper form.

Training will not make it into 1.11f, the exp cap is working good but again, may or may not make it into 1.11f. Reason being that if the NT fix portion of the patch comes out in 3 min's then it's gonna be released in 4 min's. Rather than rush in the other couple of non urgent things that we would all like to see, it may have to wait until 1.11g or mod 9. Working out the new stat cap's for higher levels (on the races) is a lot of work and testing and not something I would want thrown together. For now I would (speaking from a player standpoint) be happy to gain some exp and possibly train to level 60.

>>>I wouldn't know
abt dragon form cause after killing the black dragon
for 6 months i STILL haven't gotten a dragon totem
which is ridiculous. This needs to be addresses at
least by way of making black dragon regen faster 4 or 5 >>> days would be a much more reasonable amt of time. I >>> like the ideas of giving warlocks chainmail and i HOPE >>> there are upgrades to rangers being made, but I also >>> hope this isn't as rushed as mod8 was and has as many >>> mistakes.

Form of the dragon will end up being the best (for now) overall 'item' in the game. It should well be the hardest item to obtain. I just got my dragon totem about a month ago mystelf. We still have a mystic waiting for both viper and dragon and I kill them both upon regen. On the same note, just last week I got a bone necklace for the first time since the original one dropped. Sometimes it is just bad luck. We went a couple of months waiting for a thrag heart and now have 3 spare's. Jinx was talking about the dragon's claw as the hard item for druids to get, but the spider leg is much harder.

Altho Shannon sd this isn't gonna be a mod, >>> we have all seen the dangers of putting out a product >>> w/o sufficient testing and the problems that go along >>> with making any one class supposedly too strong.

Everything but the NT fix has been being played with and tested since 1.11e came out. Even though things are not hashed out and talked about in the forums, there is always something being done to this game on just about a daily basis.

On another track..what about druids and fury? Any changes > to make this spell actually do something such as when > monsters may be immune to one element or actually gain > hp's from getting hit by one element. Then make them take > 2x as much damage from another element? Makes sense if a > monster is immune to fire that ice would hit him twice as > hard. Just take a look at nekojins and the fact that they > are resistant to heat but take more damage from cold > spells. Just an observation and a hope to make it better > for our lil druids out there.

Druid's fury is being played around with and tweaked, again, this may or may not make it into 1.11f due to time contraints, however, other things may have changed that you will like :)
